WeRide is seeking an engineer to join its autonomous driving team in San Jose, responsible for debugging, bringing up systems, and deploying software on vehicle platforms and embedded systems. You will validate deployments, triage issues, and work across AI, robotics, and operations to maintain stability and safety.

The role requires a Mechanical or Computer Engineering degree and hands-on experience with sensors, ROS-based software, and robot simulators.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• Experience with sensors (IMU, LiDAR, camera, odometry, radar).
• Experience with ROS-based software development for robotic systems.
• Hands-on experience with robot simulators or other robot frameworks.
• Enthusiasm to understand a complex system and its components.

Mansioni

• Deploy and integrate autonomous driving software onto vehicle platforms and embedded computing systems.
• Validate system functionality after fleet deployment and ADV delivery, including Linux/Bash-based debugging on embedded systems.
• Report, document and track fleet issues and drive cross-team effort to solve them.
• Calibrate and validate sensors, including cameras, LiDAR, IMU, and GNSS.
• Support control-related calibration to ensure stable and predictable vehicle behavior.
• Collaborate across AI, Robotics and Operations teams and communicate deployment status clearly.
