Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a Software Engineer to design and develop control software for unmanned systems in Pocasset, MA. You will integrate autonomy software with an advanced common operating picture and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

We hire at multiple levels, from entry to senior, requiring a BS in related field and 5+ years of embedded C++/Python, Linux experience, and the ability to obtain a government clearance.

Qualifications

• BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Robotics Engineering.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in embedded software programming in C++ and Python.
• Experience with Linux operating systems.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.
• Collaborates with equipment designers and hardware engineers in planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems.
• Coordinates with cross-functional teams to implement high-quality software solutions.
• Follow software development process and best practices.
• Participate in product development phases including requirements review, design, usability, risk assessment and defects.
