Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Software Integration Intern to join the South San Francisco team. You will work at the intersection of robotics, embedded software, and systems engineering, testing how data science and programming support hardware integration across aircraft, simulation, and real operations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with Python for scientific programming and data tools is expected.
• Basic SQL querying and data handling experience.
• Exposure to software development practices (Git, debugging, documentation) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze datasets from engineering systems, sensors, and other sources to identify patterns.
• Create and maintain dashboards with clear visualizations using Matplotlib/Seaborn/Plotly/Tableau.
• Write SQL queries and work with databases for data preparation.
• Assist with model development and validation for autonomy applications.
• Develop small data pipelines and run simulations.
• Contribute to scripts/tools to improve workflows and automation.
