Zipline, the world’s leading autonomous drone delivery company, invites you to join the Software Systems Validation Team as an intern in South San Francisco. You’ll help evaluate the software powering our autonomous delivery system, contribute to tests, tools, metrics, and visualizations that reveal system performance, and help ensure reliability before flight.

You’ll collaborate across engineering domains, gain hands-on exposure to validation at scale, and learn industry practices for

Qualifications

Completion of second year of undergrad in CS/SE/Robotics or related field.
Courses in robotics, controls, estimation, navigation, or perception are preferred.

Responsibilities

Support test scenario design across the autonomous software stack to validate system-level requirements.
Help develop and improve validation tools, workflows, and automation.
Build visualizations or metrics to highlight performance trends, gaps, or regressions.
Work with test infrastructure and data platform teams to run validation pipelines.
Analyze results and contribute to identifying root causes of failures or unexpected behavior.
Document findings and communicate insights to engineering stakeholders.
