Job summary

AV is seeking an Autonomy & Robotics Engineering Intern to work with a team of engineers on autonomous behaviors, machine perception, and robotic control systems for UAS and other platforms. You will gain experience in algorithm development, simulation, and real-hardware integration within a fast-paced R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a technical field such as CS, EE, Robotics.
• Coursework or projects in robotics, autonomy, or computer vision.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (C++11+ preferred).
• Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB for analysis/prototyping.
• Interest in working with UAS/robotics or autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test autonomy algorithms.
• Develop computer vision, object tracking, and target detection components.
• Integrate GNC with visual sensors and state estimation.
• Support autonomy software on simulation and real hardware.
• Collaborate on testing, data collection, and experimental design.
• Participate in code reviews and cross-disciplinary integration.
• Document findings for internal reports and presentations.
