Job summary

AV seeks an Autonomy & Robotics Engineering Intern to join a team developing autonomous behaviors, machine perception, and robotic control for unmanned systems. You will work on algorithms, simulation, and real hardware in a fast-paced R&D environment.

You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge autonomy applications, with mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to team collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related technical field.
• Coursework or project experience in robotics, autonomy, or computer vision.
• Proficiency in C/C++ (C++11+).
• Familiarity with Python and/or MATLAB for data analysis or prototyping.
• Interest in UAS, robotics, or autonomous systems.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and work hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of autonomy algorithms.
• Work on computer vision, object tracking, and target detection.
• Support GNC integration with visual sensors and state estimation.
• Participate in code reviews and integration efforts across teams.
• Document and present findings in internal reports.
