Job summary

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Robotics Engineer for the Applied Systems Lab (ASL) Autonomy Technology Transition Division (ATTD). The role focuses on autonomous uncrewed aircraft programs, integrating sensors, developing planning and control algorithms, and advancing perception and coordination for mobile robotic systems.

Applicants should have hands-on Linux/embedded experience, strong systems engineering background, and a track record in unmanned autonomous robotics.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Linux and embedded systems.
Experience developing complex, software-intensive systems using system engineering processes and methodologies.
Experience designing/developing software-based systems that integrate multiple subsystems and/or hardware.
Experience integrating and troubleshooting systems to determine functional correctness, completeness, and/or effectiveness.
Experience developing, integrating, and/or testing unmanned autonomous robotic system capabilities.
U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

Perform signal processing tasks with limited direction from supervisor.
Develop expertise in specific areas.
Contribute to white papers and proposals with supporting data analysis.
Contribute to technical reports, presentations, journals and conferences.
Develop and integrate new capabilities and subsystems into military systems, including interfaces and test instrumentation.
Isolate hardware and software anomalies and analyze flight/lab data.
Develop scripts/tools to analyze flight and lab data.
Ensure all work meets military, safety and security standards.
Design and manage laboratory configurations for projects.
