Job summary

Applied Intuition, Inc. seeks an AcuityOS engineer to develop, deploy, and maintain the backbone of all-domain autonomy capabilities. This role involves significant field work deploying software on autonomous vehicles and collaborating with sensor and autopilot teams in dynamic environments.

You will work across software systems, CI/CD, simulation, and verification in real-world settings, balancing research with practical deployment while maintaining safety and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD or 5 years of experience in multi-agent autonomy.
• 2+ years in industry.
• Strong Linux and command-line skills.
• Proficient in Python and/or C++ (C++ preferred).
• Experience with robotics systems, sensors, and vehicle autopilots (PX4, ROS).
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab.
• Knowledge of inter-vehicle communication protocols (DDS, UDP, ROS2).
• Experience integrating third-party software and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Systems Engineering: develop and validate software on autonomous vehicles.
• Field Deployment & Testing: hands-on deployment and validation in real environments.
• Interfacing with sensors and autopilots: integrate RADAR, cameras, GPS with autonomy stack.
• Perception & Autonomy: deploy perception pipelines and autonomous modules.
• Communication Systems: ensure data exchange between vehicles.
• Third-Party Software Integration: connect external APIs and software.
• Software Quality & CI/CD: improve CI/CD and system reliability.
• Simulation & Testing: use simulations to validate behavior before field tests.
• Collaboration & Documentation: work with cross-functional teams and document updates.
