Job summary

Nuro is seeking an Autonomy Leader to drive the technical roadmap for validating the NuroDriver intelligence. You will lead the development of evaluation tooling to scale safety to millions of users, bridging simulation and real-world deployment.

You will design intelligent agents and metrics, close the learning loop, and collaborate across Autonomy and Infrastructure to define a unified, data-driven validation architecture. Competitive pay and equity included.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS, Robotics, Statistics, Physics, Math, or related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of industry experience and a track record of driving team success.
• Strong domain expertise in AI/ML, robotics, and/or large-scale evaluation systems.
• Leadership to set a clear vision and align a team behind a technical strategy.
• Execution and urgency with fast, high-quality delivery.
• People management experience in hiring and growing engineers.
• Collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure Autonomy has compute and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy intelligent evaluation agents that simulate complex interactions.
• Design and deploy advanced algorithms that measure cognitive performance of ML models powering our self-driving car’s behavior, using physics-based modeling and ML.
• Close the Learning Loop: identify behavioral weaknesses in the NuroDriver and drive this into refinement of decision-making logic.
• Define the Technical Architecture: work cross-functionally with Autonomy and Infrastructure engineers to set a roadmap that unifies evaluation frameworks toward automated, data-driven validation.
