Job summary

Nuro is seeking a software engineer to advance its autonomous systems platform. You will design and implement the closed-loop evaluation, agent platform, and autoresearch infrastructure, working with engineering leadership and the CEO to enable trustworthy, scalable autonomy.

Bring at least 3 years of software engineering experience, strong Python, and a deep interest in LLM research. You will operate across production systems, tools, and experiments, driving safer, more capable autonomous

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience in CS or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep, current taste in LLM research and understanding of training data, pretraining dynamics, and RL.
• Knowledge of inference internals including attention, KV-cache, latency, and throughput trade-offs.
• Experience building and operating LLM-based agent systems in production.
• Strong backend and distributed systems background at scale.

Responsibilities

• Build closed-loop evaluation to measure agent acceptance, revert, or override per workflow.
• Develop the agent platform including orchestration, isolation, and observability.
• Advance autoresearch infrastructure for experiments, evaluation, and proposal auditability.
