Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Product Manager to shape and deliver autonomy features for next-generation air and missile defense systems. You will develop domain expertise, conduct thorough discovery, and work with AI/ML technologies to deliver robust, safe capabilities.

In this fast-paced role, you’ll own execution end-to-end without a dedicated program manager, collaborate with engineering, test, and business teams, and contribute to national security and defense innovation.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in software product management, ideally in highly technical areas such as autonomous systems or AI/ML products.
• Working fluency in autonomy and controls concepts to reason about system behavior with engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Foundational understanding of backend web technologies and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for autonomy capabilities with attention to backend services and UI-based oversight, explainability, and control.
• Define autonomy behavior and the human-machine interfaces, including safety guardrails for automated decision-making.
• Support software execution with engineering, surface dependencies, track delivery against plan, and hold stakeholders accountable to schedule.
• Communicate roadmaps and status to stakeholders; escalate major trade-offs and decisions as needed.
• Own the autonomy capability area and collaborate with business development, proposal, marketing, and compliance.
• Deliver new capabilities across the lifecycle from initial release to day-to-day improvements, voice of the user.
• Define and monitor metrics for autonomy performance, safety, and controls in operational contexts.
• Interview operators and SMEs to derive insights and propagate user needs across the organization.
• Bridge business and technical teams; contribute to product team culture and practices.
• Partner with test engineers to design rigorous testing scenarios for functionality and rapid iteration.
