Russell Tobin is hiring Safety Drivers in Dallas, TX to support testing and development of autonomous vehicles on real roads. You will alternate between manual driving and supervising autonomous mode, monitor conditions, and collect performance data.

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. driver’s license for 3+ years.
• Strong driving skills with good situational awareness.
• Excellent judgment and attention to detail.
• Comfortable driving in varying weather and road conditions.
• Reliable, professional and dependable.
• Comfortable using technology and following detailed procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate autonomous vehicles during on-road testing.
• Alternate between manual driving and supervising autonomous mode.
• Monitor traffic, road conditions, the vehicle and environment.
• Identify hazards and respond quickly and safely.
• Work with remote operators and engineering teams.
• Perform vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Collect driving and vehicle performance data.
• Document observations and testing activities.
• Assist with basic technical tasks, hardware adjustments, and software uploads.
• Support basic troubleshooting as needed.
