Job summary

Management Performance Associates seeks a Vehicle Integration Technician in Austin, TX to retrofit 200+ vehicle platforms over four years. You will install a full hardware stack, including electrical, mechanical, and CAN systems, on industrial machines like forklifts and wheel loaders.

This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role requiring 4+ years in automotive/robotics/heavy machinery contexts and willingness to travel up to 25% to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 3–8 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience retrofitting kits into working autonomous machines on industrial vehicles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapt standard platform hardware to fit each machine model and engineer the final integration.
• Build and install wiring harnesses, connectors, mounting brackets, sensors, and actuators and perform checks (continuity, voltage, power, CAN/J1939).
• Visit customer sites to scope retrofit needs and lead installation, commissioning, debugging and acceptance testing.
