Job summary

Accounting Search seeks a Vehicle Integration Technician in Austin, TX, hybrid work arrangement. You will retrofit autonomous hardware stacks onto industrial machines, including electrical, mechanical, and CAN systems.

We plan to deploy 200+ vehicle platforms over the next four years; 4+ years of hands-on experience in automotive, robotics, or heavy machinery is required. Bachelor’s degree and up to 25% travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, multi-skilled builder from automotive, robotics, autonomous driving, or heavy machinery.
• Install a full hardware stack (electrical, mechanical, and CAN) on a machine.
• Plan to retrofit 200+ vehicle platforms over four years.

Responsibilities

• Adapt platform hardware to fit each machine model, including power distribution and sensors.
• Build and install wiring harnesses, connectors, and mounts on vehicles and verify through checks.
• Visit customer sites to scope retrofit needs and perform installation, commissioning, and testing.
• Troubleshoot integration across electrical, mechanical, and software layers and issue change requests.
• Record build issues and lessons learned to improve kits; ECU/embedded programming is a plus.
