Job summary

WorkGenius Group seeks a Test Technician in Las Vegas, NV for an approximate 6‑month contract. You will lead software release validation and execute complex software, vehicle, mission, and operational testing to ensure quality, safety, and deployment readiness.

You will prepare and support missions, including software deployments across vehicle devices, data collection, and issue escalation, while partnering with engineering on root-cause analysis and defect resolution.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience executing complex software and/or vehicle testing, including software release QA activities.
• Experience documenting detailed test results and reporting defects with Jira, TestRail, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, ownership, and urgency in high-pressure, safety-focused environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, plus basic software operations and configuration tasks.
• Preferred: Python or scripting experience; familiarity with CAN or Ethernet vehicle communications.

Responsibilities

• Lead software release validation and execute complex software, vehicle, mission, and operational testing to verify quality, safety, and deployment readiness.
• Prepare and support missions, including software deployment across vehicle devices, configuration verification, data collection, and issue escalation.
• Analyze vehicle logs and test data to identify failures, support root-cause analysis, and provide accurate written and verbal feedback to engineering teams.
• Manage defects from identification and reporting through investigation and resolution using established QA and defect-tracking processes.
• Maintain test documentation, operational metrics, readiness records, targeted test cases, and process improvements, including transitioning suitable manual tests to simulation environments.
