Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an Autonomous Vehicle Embedded Software Engineer in Mendon, Utah to contribute to embedded real-time software on unmanned robotic vehicles. You will work through requirements, design, implementation, testing and support to meet vehicle control, actuators and sensor interfaces.

With 3–5 years of C/C++ embedded experience, you will collaborate in an open team, implement tests, ensure SOLID design, and use ROS/ROS2, CAN, SPI and network protocols. Travel 0–15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related; Master’s preferred.
• 3–5 years of embedded real-time software design using C/C++ for embedded processors.
• Familiarity with multithreaded embedded apps on an RTOS and ROS/ROS2.

Responsibilities

• Feature development for embedded applications.
• Diagnosis and correction of defects in embedded software.
• Systems engineering participation for smooth integration.
• Support of fielded systems and travel up to 15%.
• Write Understandable C/C++ code and refactor continually.
• Use of distributed version control systems and design patterns.
