Job summary

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is seeking a Field Tester III to validate autonomous vehicle software through real-world and simulation testing.

You will work as an integrated ASI team member, contributing to automation efforts, identifying risks, and refining validation strategies across field and simulated environments. You will perform advanced validation, collaborate with engineering teams, and help advance testing methodologies for new software releases while handling test infrastructure

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software testing, hardware testing, validation engineering, or QA roles
• Experience in real-world and simulation testing environments
• Familiarity with validating complex software systems in robotics/autonomous systems
• Basic scripting for automation or data analysis (Python/Bash)
• Experience troubleshooting validation or field testing
• Familiarity with Jira and Jama for defect tracking and requirements

Responsibilities

• Execute advanced validation testing of autonomous vehicle software in real-world and simulated environments
• Develop scalability and system validation strategies for reliable performance
• Troubleshoot complex system behaviors and diagnose root causes with engineering teams
• Contribute to test automation using basic scripting
• Analyze test data and performance metrics to identify trends and improvements
• Support integration testing of onboard and offboard systems and infrastructure
• Collaborate with software, systems, and test teams across releases
• Document defects and track them in Jira/Jama
