Job summary

TractEasy is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Deployment Engineer) based in Iowa to deploy and maintain autonomous vehicle solutions for clients in Des Moines or Iowa City. You will be the first regional engineer, traveling to customer sites as needed and collaborating with the PM team to ensure smooth deployments.

Expect hands-on installation, commissioning, hardware/software configuration, on-site training, and remote support, with a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous process

Qualifications

• Technician or degree in automotive/robotics or similar field.
• Minimum 2 years of technician/engineer experience in relevant industries.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clear background check.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and enter into service of autonomous vehicles, with PM support.
• Manage vehicle commissioning, deployment, and feedback for improvements.
• Perform mechanical/electrical maintenance on vehicles as needed.
• Install and configure autonomous hardware/software components.
• Deliver basic and advanced training to customers on operations.
• Provide remote customer support through the company system.
• Assist with on-road authorization tests and documentation for regulators.
• Report risks and scope changes; support mitigation planning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement from deployment to maintenance.
