Job summary

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking an experienced staff nurse to provide expert vascular access care for patients with complex needs. The role offers autonomy and opportunities to work across units, with emphasis on ultrasound-guided IV insertions, midline placements, and port access.

Responsibilities include sterile dressing changes, phlebotomy, and coordinating with physicians and nurses to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from nursing program is required.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound-guided peripheral IV insertions and midline catheter placements.
• Complete sterile dressing changes, port access/de-access, and phlebotomy for difficult venous access patients.
• Assess vascular access needs and recommend appropriate device selection.
• Collaborate with physicians and bedside nurses to support optimal patient care.
• Troubleshoot line-related issues and promote best practices in vascular access.
