Job summary

FALCATA's Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) division in Arlington, VA is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test software for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS).

The role focuses on autonomous vehicle software, payload and sensor integration, and multi-disciplinary collaboration, with up to 10% travel to development sites and test ranges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related engineering field with 4+ years of experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript.
• Experience with embedded systems for autonomous vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clean, well-documented code for embedded systems.
• Assist in debugging and testing a larger codebase with a multi-developer team.
• Support software development for UAS platforms, including prototyping and lab/field testing.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team across locations.
• Work with product owners to build software solutions for requirements.
• Create working software to meet rapid timelines and real-world challenges.
