Job summary

Aurora is hiring a Class A Driver based in Laredo, TX to pilot autonomous semi trucks for on-road and testing operations. This 6-month assignment offers multiple shift options, including weekdays, nights, and weekends, with a hybrid in-office schedule.

You will monitor the Aurora Driver, provide real-time feedback to engineers, maintain required certifications, and collaborate across teams to advance Aurora’s mission in safe, scalable mobility and logistics solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience driving trucks commercially.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Interstate Class-A CDL.
• MVR must pass.
• Excellent communication.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.
• Able to work nights and weekends.
• DOT physical pass.
• 21+ years old.
• Knowledge of DOT regs.

Responsibilities

• Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks on road and closed courses.
• Monitor driver during autonomy.
• Provide real-time feedback to engineers.
• Escalate blockers with solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally.
• Work toward goals for Vehicle Operations.
• Interact with the public as Aurora ambassador.
• Maintain required certifications.
