Job summary

Glydways is seeking a Test & Commissioning Lead / Central Control Operations Lead for the Atlanta ATN Pilot Project. This in-person role oversees safe, coordinated control-center and test activities, reporting to the Operations Manager and leading readiness, escalation, incident response, and service restoration.

The position starts as a one-year contract in Atlanta, GA with an initial 4-6 week training period in Richmond, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years leading test or control-center operations in transit or safety-critical environments.
• Experience coordinating teams during system integration, commissioning, incidents, or recovery.
• Strong written and verbal communication during time-sensitive events.
• Ability to interpret system status, logs, test results, and configurations.
• Solid documentation for incident and test records.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Operations Control Center operations and test activities.
• Coordinate startup readiness checks, test windows, controlled changes, and service pauses.
• Manage escalated alerts and major incidents, prioritize, and coordinate emergency actions.
• Coordinate Central Control Operators, Field Operations, maintenance, engineering, safety and support teams.
• Confirm required test conditions and approvals before testing or service resumes.
• Maintain operational and test records, handovers, and improve procedures and runbooks.
