Job summary

Zoox in Foster City, CA is seeking a part-time Full Stack Software Engineer (approx. 20 hours/week for 6 months) to develop and enhance tools that automate safety metrics for autonomous mobility.

You’ll work under a senior engineer, collaborating with PMs and engineers to deliver practical software solutions. You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern web technologies, data processing with SQL/Spark, and front-end frameworks, while refining performance and scalability of our safety evaluation

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college program in a software-related field.
• Familiarity with SQL, Spark, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS, or Python.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (Vue, React, or Svelte) and common web dev tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement scalable applications to automate Zoox safety metrics.
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to design, build, and test new features.
• Improve tools by optimizing latency, CPU/memory usage, and database queries.
