Job summary

Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks talented students and early-career engineers to join the Health and Human-Machine Systems Group. You will help design and operationalize autonomous solutions to revolutionize socio-technical systems for the Nation, integrating engineering, computer science, and data science with AI/ML in collaboration with government, academia, and industry.

You will collaborate across disciplines to translate stakeholder needs into well-defined requirements

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in engineering or a related technical field with strong academic performance.
Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Experience with data analysis/visualization or programming in Python, R, or Matlab.
Modeling, simulation, or systems engineering tools such as Advanced Excel (VBA), Simio, or MagicDraw.
Developing data pipelines for analysis and modeling applications.
Experience with UI best practices for positive user experience.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and teamwork.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residence status.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary group to investigate, evaluate, analyze, and prototype technologies and operational solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into requirements for analysis, M&S, and system design.
Support project reviews and revise/deliver work based on feedback and quality standards.
