Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a clinically autonomous specialist physiotherapist to manage a caseload of highly complex patients through expert assessment, treatment and discharge planning.

You will lead service development, improve access pathways, promote health and self-management, and provide specialist support and education to staff, patients and carers while aligning with national policies and governance standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration.
• Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.
• Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates breadth of knowledge to lead safety, effectively and efficiently.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality.
• A driving licence is required; full UK/EU/EEA licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of highly complex patients through expert physiotherapy assessment, treatment and discharge planning.
• Lead service development by improving access pathways and promoting health and self-management.
• Provide specialist support and education to physiotherapists, healthcare professionals, patients and carers.
• Support research, audit and service improvement initiatives in line with national policies.
