NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a clinically autonomous specialist physiotherapist to manage a caseload of highly complex patients through expert assessment, treatment and discharge planning.

NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.
The post holder will act as an autonomous clinical specialist, managing a caseload of highly complex patients through expert physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and discharge planning. They will lead service development by improving access pathways, promoting health and self-management, and providing specialist support and education to physiotherapists, healthcare professionals, patients, relatives, and carers. Working collaboratively with health and social care services, the post holder will optimise patient outcomes while maintaining high standards of clinical governance, evidence-based practice, and quality assurance. They will also support research, audit, and service improvement initiatives in line with national policies and clinical governance requirements. The working pattern for this role is Mon - Friday during the hours of 9-5 pm.
