Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking an autonomous clinical specialist in physiotherapy to manage a caseload of highly complex patients through expert assessment, treatment and discharge planning. You will lead service development by improving access pathways, promoting health and self-management, and providing specialist support to staff, patients, and carers.

You will work Mon–Fri, 9–5, and contribute to governance, education, and research initiatives, collaborating with health and social care partners

Qualifications

• Clinical governance and evidence-based practice expertise.
• Postgraduate level knowledge in the specialty.
• Advanced clinical assessment and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously manage a caseload of highly complex patients with specialist physiotherapy input.
• Lead service development, improve access pathways and promote self-management.
• Educate and supervise physiotherapists and other clinicians across services.
• Support research, audit and service improvement per national governance.
