Job summary

SoftBank Robotics in Boston seeks a Robotics Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, refurbish, test, and support autonomous robotic systems deployed across the Americas. This role blends hands-on repair with customer and partner support to ensure robot performance and reliability.

You'll work with Physical AI, autonomous robotics, and advanced automation technologies, gaining experience with industry-leading platforms and contributing to safety and quality standards on every repair.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, robotics or related field.
• 1-3 years in robotics repair or related technical fields.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and system-level failures on robotic platforms.
• Refurbish and retrofit returned robots, including preventative maintenance.
• Replace components such as motors, sensors, batteries, and wiring harnesses.
• Support root cause analysis and troubleshoot hardware, software, and navigation issues.
• Conduct software installations, firmware upgrades, and functional testing.
• Complete post-repair verification to meet safety and quality standards.
