Job summary

SoftBank Robotics is seeking a Robotics Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, refurbish, and support autonomous robotic systems deployed across the Americas. The role blends hands-on repair with customer and partner support to ensure high robot performance and satisfaction.

This position offers exposure to Physical AI, autonomous robotics, and advanced automation technologies, with opportunities to work on industry-leading robotic platforms.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, computer engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or related field.
• 1-3 years in robotics repair or related electromechanical tech roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, products, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and system-level failures on robotic platforms.
• Refurbish and retrofit returned robots, including preventative maintenance and restoration.
• Replace components including motors, wiring harnesses, sensors, batteries, wheels, brushes, and structural assemblies.
• Support root cause analysis and troubleshoot hardware, software, charging, communication, and navigation issues.
• Conduct software installations, firmware upgrades, system configuration, and functional testing.
• Complete post-repair verification testing to ensure safety, quality, and performance before shipment.
