Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Field Tester to operate and calibrate semi-autonomous and autonomous robotic systems on customer sites in Utah. You will conduct hands-on tests, document results, and train colleagues and clients on safe operation and control software.

The role blends software quality, test technician rigor, and training responsibilities, requiring collaboration with engineers and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required.
• 3–5 years of testing, validation, or related technical roles.
• Help define test requirements and configure test tracks to simulate real-world conditions.
• Work with engineers and cross-functional teams to shape development, calibration, and fielding activities.
• Develop training plans and deliver vehicle- and robot-specific training for team members and customers.
• Perform on-site configuration, calibration, and acceptance testing and customer training.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment manually, tele-operations, semi-autonomous and autonomous modes to evaluate performance.
• Maintain safe testing environment and enforce safety standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with program and engineering teams to understand CONOP and planned use cases.
• Document inspections, tests, results, and maintenance; provide clear reports.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure safety and longevity of equipment.
• Calibrate, diagnose, and troubleshoot robotic systems with engineering and support teams.
