Job summary

Placements24 in East London is seeking an innovative Robotics Engineer focused on AI integration to join our advanced development team. You will design, implement, and test AI-enabled robotics for smarter autonomous behavior and improved efficiency.

You will work with C++ and Python, ROS, and sensor fusion, developing control and perception algorithms, validating models in simulation, and collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure robust software-hardware integration.

Qualifications

Master's or PhD in Robotics, CS, EE, or related field.
3+ years in robotics development with AI integration.
Strong C++ and Python skills with ROS experience.
Experience with AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).
Sensor integration (cameras, LiDAR, IMUs) and data fusion.
Control theory and motion planning knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop and integrate AI algorithms into robotic systems.
Design and implement control systems for autonomous navigation and manipulation.
Work with simulation environments to test and validate AI models.
Collaborate with hardware engineers for software-hardware integration.
Develop robust real-time architectures using C++ and Python.
Troubleshoot and debug complex AI robotics systems.
