Job summary

Avride is seeking a hands-on Robot Service Technician to support deployment of autonomous delivery robots. You will assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate robots in field and workshop settings.

The role requires mechanical and electrical expertise, 2D drawings literacy, sensor integration, and the ability to travel locally for onsite support. Onsite Arlington, VA area, full-time contract through our partner, with ADA accommodations.

Qualifications

• Experience using mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipment.
• Experience assembling and disassembling electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience installing and integrating custom electronic modules.
• Understanding of AC/DC electrical systems and safe working practices.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable working both in a workshop environment and in the field.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or more.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors for autonomous delivery robots.
• Install, configure, and replace sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of robot components and subsystems.
• Follow technical documentation, schematics, and assembly procedures to ensure quality standards.
• Travel between local sites to provide onsite technical support as needed.
• Support deployment, testing, and validation of autonomous delivery robots in real-world environments.
• Assist with inventory management, equipment tracking, and parts organization.
• Participate in rapid prototyping and hardware validation efforts.
