Job summary

Avride, a U.S.-based autonomous vehicle startup, seeks a hands-on Robot Service Technician in Tempe, AZ. You will assemble, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair autonomous delivery robots, traveling to sites as needed and supporting deployment efforts.

The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM, with weekly pay through our Employer of Record partner. onsite work in the Tempe region, strong mechanical and electrical skills, and a proactive problem-solver mindset are required.

Qualifications

• Experience using mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipment.
• Experience assembling and disassembling electrical and electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors for autonomous delivery robots.
• Install, configure, and replace sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensors.
• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of robot components and subsystems.
• Follow technical documentation, schematics, and assembly procedures to ensure quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and preventive service on the robot fleet.
• Diagnose failures, investigate incidents, and execute repair and service campaigns.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including suspension and battery components.
