Frontline Education seeks a School Nurse Substitute (RN or LPN) to support i3Academy by providing health services, assessments, and medication administration in a Birmingham, AL school setting. Qualifications

• Qualified to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in Alabama
• Unrestricted license to practice nursing in the state
• American Heart Association CPR/AED certification

Responsibilities

• Promotes and protects the optimal health status of school-age children
• Provides health assessments and health history
• Provides daily medications and treatments per prescriber orders
• Identifies abnormal health findings and reports to relevant parties
• Develops and implements a student health plan and communicates with parents/school staff
• Facilitates health counseling and educates students and families on health decisions
• Coordinates school and community health activities and serves as a liaison between home, school and health resources
