Penn State Health - St. Joseph Medical Center is seeking a Graduate or certified Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care across hospital areas under medical supervision.

The role involves adapting to various units, independent decision-making, possible supervision of staff, and contributing to orientation and in-service education. Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree, graduation from an approved program, state licensure, and current BLS certification.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the employing state.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver respiratory care services to patients in all hospital areas per policies and procedures.
• Perform duties with minimal or indirect supervision and make independent decisions when needed.
• Adapt to the assigned area and perform special duties required by the assignment.
• May supervise other respiratory care practitioners and participate in orientation/in-service education.

Formação

Associate Degree

Graduate of approved Respiratory program

Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Therapist

Current BLS certification

ACLS, PALS, or NRP (preferred)
