Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Primary Care to maintain and promote patient health under physician supervision. You’ll provide diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care in an outpatient primary care setting, potentially conducting physicals and coordinating tests and referrals.

The role emphasizes clinical autonomy under supervision, with emphasis on teamwork and patient safety in line with Texas regulations and Houston Methodist policies.

Qualifications

• Two years of advanced practice clinical experience.
• Two years of advanced practice in primary care, family medicine, or outpatient internal medicine preferred.
• RN Texas license with board requirements and NP prescriptive authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventative care to primary care patients.
• Conduct physicals, order tests and therapy, prescribe medications as allowed.
• Refer to specialists when appropriate and operate within outpatient primary care.
