Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) - Primary Care to deliver diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care in an outpatient setting under physician supervision. The APP may conduct physicals, order tests, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists as appropriate.

The role requires an NP program graduate with a Texas RN license and APRN Non-Acute Care licensure, BLS certification, prescriptive authority, and DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited school and NP program graduate.
• Two years of advanced practice clinical experience, preferably in primary care.
• RN Texas licensure with permanent license within 60 days (if establishing residency) and APRN non-acute care license.
• BLS certification, prescriptive authority, and DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care in outpatient primary care.
• Conduct physicals, order tests and therapy, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists when appropriate.
• Work under physician supervision or as part of a treatment team.
• Promote patient health and safety in line with nursing board policies.
