Job summary

Houston Methodist Primary Care Group seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Primary Care to maintain and promote patient health in an outpatient setting, under supervision of a licensed physician. The APP will perform exams, order tests, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists as appropriate.

This exempt, full-time role emphasizes diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive care within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing and graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioners program.
• Texas RN licensure for NP and prescriptive authority.
• BLS certification or instructor certification (AHA) and related credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive care in a primary care outpatient setting.
• Order tests, prescribe medications, and refer to specialists as appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate patient care.
