Wellspring Animal Hospital in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our veterinary support team. This role offers independent grooming within a full-service practice, paired with a collaborative hospital environment where personalized care for pets and families is valued.

You'll perform full grooming services, manage client preferences, and maintain a clean grooming area. Compensation features 50% commission or $8/hour, with part-time schedule Tue-Thu and Sat.

Join Our Grooming Team at Wellspring Animal Hospital!

Wellspring Animal Hospital is excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community.

Our hospital features a dedicated,state-of-the-artgrooming facility where groomers have the autonomy to manage their services, build relationships with clients, and work alongside a supportive veterinary team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications :

• Professional pet grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types
• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards
• Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Grooming certification is a plus
• Portfolio and references required

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression
• Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin conditionand communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners
• Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations
• Safely handle pets ofvarious sizesand temperaments during grooming procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift

Schedule and Compensation :

• Compensation for this role is based on 50% commission on grooming services, or $8 per hour worked, whichever is greater.
• This is a part-timeposition, with availability needed: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Satuday

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
