Job summary

Solidus Resources, LLC, a U.S.-based gold development company, is seeking a Mine Superintendent to lead autonomous open pit mining operations in Nevada. You will drive safe, cost-effective production, coordinate with autonomous fleet teams, and manage budgets and contractor performance.

The role requires a strong safety culture, MSHA compliance, and 10+ years in open pit mining, with 5+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in open pit mining operations.
Minimum 5+ years of leadership experience supervising mining operations.

Responsibilities

Lead mining operations while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements.
Execute mine plans to achieve production, productivity, and quality targets.
Coordinate activities with technical services, drill and blast, ore control, maintenance, and autonomous haulage teams.
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production crews to drive accountability and performance.
Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and equipment utilization.
Manage operating costs, budgets, and contractor performance while meeting production objectives.
Ensure ore and waste are mined in accordance with mine plans and grade control requirements.
Support the implementation and optimization of autonomous mining systems.
Monitor key operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
