Job summary

Solidus Resources, a U.S.-based gold development company, is seeking a Mine Superintendent to lead open pit mining with autonomous fleet integration. You will drive safety, production, and cost performance while coordinating cross-functional teams across technical services and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline required.
• 10+ years progressive experience in open pit mining operations.
• 5+ years leadership experience supervising mining operations.
• Experience in large-scale open pit mining operations is preferred.
• Experience with autonomous haulage systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead mining operations while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations, company policies, and environmental requirements.
• Execute mine plans to achieve production, productivity, and quality targets.
• Coordinate activities with technical services, drill and blast, ore control, maintenance, and autonomous haulage teams.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production crews to drive accountability and performance.
• Drive operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and equipment utilization.
• Manage operating costs, budgets, and contractor performance while meeting production objectives.
• Ensure ore and waste are mined in accordance with mine plans and grade control requirements.
• Support the implementation and optimization of autonomous mining systems.
• Monitor key operational KPIs and implement corrective actions to improve safety, reliability, and operational performance.
