Transwest Mobile is launching a brand-new service market in Laredo, TX, and is hiring a founding Mobile Diesel Technician to lead field repairs with autonomy and direct customer interaction. You’ll service heavy trucks, trailers, and equipment, building a region-specific standard for service quality from day one.

The role emphasizes independent operation, diagnostic-led repairs, and close coordination with fleet managers to keep critical equipment in service in one of North America’s busiest

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on diesel/heavy equipment repair experience.
• Proven diagnostic ability across engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrain components.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in field settings.
• Professional, customer-focused communication and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary mobile technician supporting customers across Laredo and South Texas.
• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems on construction, industrial, and material handling equipment.
• Perform brake, suspension, steering, cooling, fuel, DEF, emissions, and HVAC repairs.
• Source parts and communicate requirements to maintain workflow and downtime.
