Job summary

Transwest Mobile in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking a Field Diesel Technician with 5–10+ years of heavy equipment experience to lead diagnostics and complex repairs in mobile service.

You will mentor junior technicians, perform engine overhauls, and use advanced diagnostic tools, CAN bus and ECM systems, while maintaining meticulous records and delivering clear recommendations to customers on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Expert-level knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Experience with advanced diagnostics and repairs (CAN bus, ECM).

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and mobile units.
• Perform engine overhauls, rebuilds, and complex repairs with precision.
• Mentor and train junior technicians on-site and remotely as needed.
• Communicate findings and service recommendations to customers clearly.
• Maintain meticulous records of repairs and maintenance.
