Job summary

Gastronomous Technologies is seeking a full-time Repair Technician based on-site in the Los Angeles area to diagnose, repair, and maintain autonomous kitchen equipment. You will document service activities, update maintenance records, and work with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliability and uptime.

Responsibilities include field maintenance, clear customer communication, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in appliance repair and equipment maintenance.
• Experience working on electromechanical or industrial kitchen systems.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and basic software issues, including systematic problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Commitment to customer satisfaction, with clear and professional communication skills when interacting with clients and internal teams.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals.
• Comfort working hands-on in commercial kitchen or industrial environments, following all safety and hygiene guidelines.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to customer sites as needed.
• Experience with IoT-connected or automated systems is an asset; prior work in foodservice or manufacturing environments is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues on Gastronomous kitchen automation equipment.
• Perform in-field maintenance and timely repairs to minimize downtime at customer locations or in-house facilities.
• Document service activities and update maintenance records in company systems.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and operations teams to resolve issues and improve reliability.
• Communicate clearly with customers about service status, usage, and safety guidelines.
• Follow safety standards and company procedures during all service activities.
