Job summary

322 BBQ is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Manager / Sous Chef to lead operations at two locations: Mullica Hill, NJ and Wilmington, DE. This daytime, full-time role focuses on running a largely autonomous kitchen, with real input into menus and direction, and no late nights.

You will hire, train, and develop prep, line, and bakery teams, maintain quality and presentation, own ordering and food costs, and uphold food safety standards across both sites.

Qualifications

• Kitchen leadership and operational excellence at the line and system level.
• Experience leading a kitchen with input on menu direction.
• Strong team development and station-level coaching.
• Food safety and sanitation proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations across two locations (Mullica Hill, NJ and Wilmington, DE).
• Run the kitchen with autonomy: own systems, standards, and team.
• Contribute to menu development, specials, and overall direction of the restaurants.
• Hire, train, and develop prep, line, and bakery teams.
• Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Own ordering, inventory, food cost, and vendor relationships.
• Uphold food safety and sanitation protocols.
• Resolve issues quickly to keep service running smoothly.
