Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Infusion Nurse to provide direct patient care at our Sterling, VA center. The role emphasizes autonomous work, starting IVs, and delivering infusion therapies with a 3:1 patient-to-clinician ratio.

Ideal candidates hold Virginia RN licensure, have outpatient infusion experience, and are proficient with EHR systems. ACLS/PALS and BLS are preferred; weekend availability is required 1–2 Saturdays per month.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in Virginia (or eligible for VA licensure)
• Experience in outpatient infusion therapy in a clinical setting
• Comfortable working autonomously; insert 5+ peripheral IVs per shift
• ACLS & PALS Certification (preferred)
• Current BLS CPR certification
• Excellent IV skills; infusion therapy experience a plus
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
• Ability to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month

Responsibilities

• Assess and document the health status of the patient
• Deliver infusions or injections per prescribed protocols and guidelines
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers about orders, patient status and plan of care
• Provide onsite supervision for all patients
