Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Infusion Nurse to provide direct patient care at our center in Silver Spring, MD. The ideal candidate has experience starting IVs, working with biologic drugs, and can maintain autonomy with a 3:1 patient-to-clinician ratio.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN licensure and willingness to obtain licensure in another state.
• Experience in outpatient infusion therapy in a clinical setting.
• Comfortable working autonomously and inserting 5+ peripheral IVs per shift.
• ACLS & PALS certification (preferred).
• BLS CPR certification.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Ability to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document the health status of the patient.
• Deliver infusions or injections per prescribed protocols and guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and supplies.
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers regarding status and plan of care.
• Provide onsite supervision for all patients.
