Job summary

Pronto AI is seeking an Autonomous Operations Specialist, Equipment Operator to join our production-focused team. You will serve as a Safety Driver in autonomous off-road haul trucks at client sites across the US, collaborate with engineers to test new technologies, and operate additional heavy equipment as needed.

You will help refine safety procedures, conduct equipment inspections, and maintain accurate operation records while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial startup environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional driving experience with a clean safety record
• Experience in mining or quarrying operations preferred
• Experience operating heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, bulldozers) preferred
• Willingness to travel and work occasional nights/weekends
• Based in AZ, FL, TX or WY

Responsibilities

• Serve as Safety Driver in autonomous off-road haul trucks at customer deployments across the US
• Collaborate with engineering teams to test and provide feedback on new technologies and features
• Operate other heavy equipment when needed (e.g., excavators, loaders, bulldozers)
• Assist with development and testing of off-road autonomous technologies
• Follow and help refine safety protocols
• Perform routine equipment inspections and maintain records
