Job summary

Wayve in Detroit, MI is seeking a Fleet Service and Maintenance Technician to uphold safety, performance, and readiness of our autonomous vehicle fleet. You will perform routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to keep vehicles mission-ready for testing, demonstrations, and real-world deployments.

Reporting to the Fleet Service Manager, you’ll work with engineers, drivers, and operations teams using OEM and third-party diagnostic tools, maintaining clear repair documentation and adhering to

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in automotive servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in an automotive servicing or fleet environment.
• Strong diagnostics capability using OEM or third‑party diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with mechanical and bodywork repairs using OEM repair manuals.
• Competent with computer systems for tracking and recording maintenance tasks (e.g., Word, Excel).
• Comfortable interacting with engineers, operations staff, and drivers.
• Strong understanding of workshop safety and compliance standards.
• US driving license.

Responsibilities

• Routine & Preventative Maintenance per manufacturer guidelines.
• Mechanical & Electrical Fault Resolution using OEM documentation and diagnostic equipment.
• Vehicle Readiness for Demonstrations ensuring cleanliness, reliability, and functionality.
