Job summary

PlusAI, Inc. is seeking a Fleet Manager to own the maintenance, compliance, and lifecycle of a mixed fleet including autonomous trucks, passenger cars, and trailers.

You’ll establish a preventative maintenance program, ensure DOT/FMCSA/CARB compliance, and manage registrations, insurance, and disposals while coordinating with AV teams and external shops. You will audit records for DOT, track IFTA and MCS-150 filings, and optimize operations to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Deep, working knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, CARB, and California BIT regulations.
• Proven experience filing IFTA and state use taxes and managing MCS-150 filings.
• Attention to detail with a track record of flawless regulatory audits.
• Strong collaboration and ability to lead cross-functional maintenance committees.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize a robust preventative maintenance program for 5–10 vehicle types.
• Identify bottlenecks and minimize downtime to maximize readiness.
• Lead the Fleet Maintenance Committee with AV hardware/software teams.
• Coordinate with external repair shops and mechanics; maintain inventory for parts.
• Maintain audit-ready maintenance records per DOT; keep CPSuite records current.
• Manage 90‑day BIT and annual DOT inspections; ensure CARB program compliance.
• Track FMCSA SAFER scores; manage ELD system and annual MCS-150 reports.
• Own asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal; manage registrations and insurances.
• Prepare and file quarterly IFTA and state taxes; monitor fuel usage and cards.
• Oversee weigh station bypass programs, toll registrations, and related compliance.
